Answer:
In a shadow, the borders formed by point source of light have stronger edges. The shadow seems darker than the surrounding area. When an object starts rotating, the shadow starts deforming. In the absence of primary lighting in the shadow, color tends to be dominated through the main diffused lighting source.

HOW IS SHADOW FORMED?
- Shadows are always formed on the opposite side.
- Transparent objects cannot form a shadow.
- They are only formed in opaque or translucent objects.
- If we take a glass slab, no shadow is formed because it allows light to pass through it.
CHARACTERISTICS OF SHADOW
- It depends on shape of the object. The shadow increases and decreases in the ratio same as the shape of the object.
- It depends on source of light whether it is plane parallel rays or spherical.
- It depends on position of the object whether the object is at infinite or finite distance.
- It depends on the position of source of light. If the source of light is kept closer to the object the shadow will be smaller and if it farther then shadow will be longer.
