Small Intestine have a finger like bodies found on their walls and this finger like bodies enlarge the surface area of small intestine by its foldings manner.....

These bodies are called villi or micro-villi.........

These are minute structures which attached to the blood vessels..........

The simpler digested food particles are absorbed by this minutes villi and micro-villi by simple diffusion........

Then the absorbed substances by villi are transported to blood stream.....

The small intestine is divided into three structural parts. The jejunum is the midsection of the small intestine, connecting the duodenum to the ileum. It is about 2.5 m long, and contains the plicae circulares, and villi that increase its surface area. the villi absorbs the digested food
