Are organisms that live in water totally independent of soil as a resource? Soilis essential for all living organismswhether they are aquatic or terrestrial.Soil plays important role in biogeochemical cycle which is a main source of recycling of nutrients from atmosphere to soil and then to water.

Soil is the most important resource for all organisms living on earth because: First: it supports each and every human activity which is essential for our survival such as agriculture, construction of industries, transport and provides us with vital minerals, etc. Second:it supports a variety of life such as different type of plants, trees, etc which creates an ecosystem and it also supports forests, wildlife, mountains, etc which facilitates tourism. Hope it helps ☺
