Soil minerals form the basis of soil. They are produced from rocks (parent material) through the processes of weathering and natural erosion. Water, wind, temperature change, gravity, chemical interaction, living organisms and pressure differences all help break down parent material.

rocks are denuded due to factors such as large scale changes in temperature, rain, snow ,air,vegetation,insects,etc. the upper surface off the rocks changes into powder form and the land sphere is created. it includes rocks material ,pebbles, dust particles

,etc.,which is collectively known as regolith. biotic elements ,air and water mixed in in it and then soil is formed .
