Soil formation is a very long process. The weather and climate conditions break the rock into smaller and smaller particles by rain, water, sunlight, etc. throughout years. It atleast take a thousand years to form around an inch of soil.

Soil is very useful to us as it holds mosts of the part of ground where man can live. We do agriculture on different type of soils. It gives habitat for animals as well as plants.
