soil is formed by the continuous weathering of rocks which then turn into fine powder of soil and when all these fine powders collect together , they form soil

soil erosion is the continuous exposure of the top layer of soil to the atmosphere and due to which it erodes away and the fertility decreases as the upper soil contains humus which is responsible for fertility
