Explanation:

when there is a vibration created in the air molecules or water molecules by any object which is moving with some oscillation or frequency then it transfers that frequency to the air or water surrounding it. causing molecules to vibrate at the same frequency hence producing a sound.

when those frequencies fall on human ear ( or any device which can capture frequencies and vibrate) then the ear drum also vibrates with same frequency and sends them to auditery nerves then these nerves creates electrical impulses which are further recognized by the brain and we are able to listen and understand a particular frequency called sound.
