HELLO !!!
HERE IS YOUR ANSWER ,
Sound is a longitudinal mechanical wave. It moves by compression and rarefaction in the medium of propagation. It is produced by vibration. For example, a string vibrates to produce a tune, vocal cord vibrate to produce a sound. In your lab a tuning fork vibrates to produce a sound wave. Not just this, even your ear-drum vibrate as per the sounds to hear a voice.
Hope it helps u !!
