It’s a complex procedure that starts from working out the Grade Point (GP) of each subject. In simple terms, the GP is calculated as the addition of your performance in Formative Assessment (FAs; 40 marks) and Summative Assessment (SAs; 60 marks). The total marks obtained out of 100 is then divided by 10 to get another total out of 10 . This total out of 10 is referred to as the Grade Point (GP) of a subject. Then the GPs of all taken subjects are added and the sum is divided by the number of subjects and the value obtained is denoted as the Cummulative Grade Point Aggregate (CGPA). Your overall percentage is then estimated as CGPA x 9.5.
