how is subsistence agriculture different from commercial agriculture ?in your opinion which one is more useful for India

Subsitence Agriculture is practiced by poor farmer whose plot are so small that they can produce just enough support for their family. It includes Nomadic Herding, Shifting agriculture etc..
Commercial agriculture is usually carried out on large scale, scientifically managed farms in area of low population density. It is mainly grow for sale. It includes Plantation agriculture, Ranching etc..
