The Sunderban is formed at the confluence of the Hoogly, Ganges, Padma, Meghna and Brahmaputra rivers at the southern part of Bangladesh.

It has many small marine streams along with mangrove forest and mud shores.

There are many Goran, gewa, keora and primarily Sundar tress which makes up the Sundarbans flora and hence the name, Sunderban.
