how is sunlight melt ice

sunlight contains heat and radiational waves.....to make radiation it gives out heat.......this heat melts the ice

The heat waves warm up the ice and and the particles begin to become active and move further apart, forming the liquid water. This is how sunlight melts the ice . Plz mark brainlist ....
