The term sustainable development is referred to the development of a nation or world, that is to continue and sustained for forthcoming generations. In the following ways sustainable development is related to resource planning:

1. An equal distribution of resources is vital for the sustained nature of life and global peace.

2. If the current course of resource consumption by few people and nations resumes, the future of our planet is in peril. Therefore, the judicious use of natural resources maintains the sustainability of the resources.

3. The careful and organized use of natural resources is important as injudicious use of the natural resources may deplete them.

Thus, resource planning becomes an essential part of sustainable development. As of the lack of resource planning can lead to serious danger to our earth as well as to our future generation
