HEY GUYS HERE IS YOUR ANSWER

These two were very much different than related personalities. Though there are enough evidences to prove historicity, Similarities and differences between the two, still I would like to mention few of the simplest ones:-

Mahavira was the last tirthankara (ford maker/ supreme preacher/ Philiosopher) and reformer of one of the oldest religion called JAINISM ,found in Indian subcontinent. While Buddha was the founder of Buddhism a comparative New faith.

Although both Buddhism and Jainism are offshoots of common philosophical school called shramana yet there are considerable differences in their core beliefs and practices.

Mahavira was an elder contemporary of Buddha and Buddha was well aware of him and his order. Buddhists text refer to Mahavira as Nigantha nathputta one of the few teachers whose teachings were strong and influential at buddhas time.
