How is the acidity of food neutralized in small intestine ? Why it is done?

by eating antacid like baking soda, etc.... it is done bcoz to neutralize acid produce in our stomach which causes pain and irritation...

in the small intestine the food is nutrilised by the bile juice secreted by liver. it is done because in acidic medium the enzymes does not work
