As we know plants need carbon dioxide to prepare their own food during the process of photosynthesis. And oxygen is used by all living organisms except plants. We all need oxygen. Animals, humans, fishes etc. Plants release oxygen and take in carbon dioxide. We use the oxygen released by plants and give out ( release ) carbon-dioxide. hence, the balanceof carbon dioxide and oxygen is maintained in the atmosphere.
