Well, the battle of Paniput was important because of certain reasons.

Battle of paniput actually end the Delhi sultanate in practical causing the mughal to rule and this happens in the year 1526   as the  result the result the Babur actually became the ruler of Delhi . This war was also important because modern weapon like field artillery ,gun powder etc was used in this battle.

On the other hand Battle of Khanwa happen very next year of the Paniput battle but the result was the same as the Babur become winner and took hold of India , this was the second biggest fight after the Panipat battle.

it was the battle of Paniput which result shows that mughal will be the ruler.
