I have written a very honest answer according to my experience:

If you have read the entire Harry Potter Series, then you will eventually not like The Cursed Child that much. This is because the scenes are not described in that detail as it is there in the Sensational Potter Series. It is written in the form of a play and the 1st 3 years of Hogwarts of Harry's children are covered in just 2 scenes...

It's not like I didn't like the book, but if you are expecting it to be as detailed and thrilling as the Harry Potter Series then it's unfortunately not...

But you can certainly go ahead to try it out!!! :)
