Brain is protected from shock and injury due to Cerebrospinal Fluid( it's generally present in between skull or cranium). It absorbs all the injuries and shocks. Skull protects the brain from shock and injury.

Answer:

The brain is protected by the bones of the skull and by a covering of three thin membranes called meninges. The brain is also cushioned and protected by cerebrospinal fluid. This watery fluid is produced by special cells in the four hollow spaces in the brain, called ventricles.

Our brain is double-protected against injuries and shocks due to the following reasons: ... The cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is present between the meninges (protective covering) of the brain and the cranium which acts as a shock absorber and protects the brain from injuries.
