burning of a candle is a physical change cause of the wax that melts can be formed back into it's shape whereas the pick of the wax which is actually producing fire is mixed with the air and cannot be formed back so.....it's a chemical and physical change

It is physical change because there is change in the shape of wax only due to melting of it and it is chemical change because heat and smoke is produced due to burning of candle.
