Answer:-

CACtus plants have spines on them.

This helps them to transpire less water and save water as there is scaricity of water.

In Cactus ,Leaves are modified as throns.

These throns will not allow water to transpire.

•During transpiration a lot amount of water is gone back in form of water vapour.

•In desert conditions,many modifications are seen

the leaves of cactus are modified into spines to prevent water loss from the surface of leaf the green stem of the plant contain chlorophyll, thus, the stem is the centre of the photosynthesis in cactus plant instead of leaves
