the acid is acidic in nature due to the presence of h+ ions and water is also containing h+ ions and when we add water to the acid the acid becomes diluted and the h+ ions are released and are mixed withthe ions of water thus H3o+ (Hydronic ions are obtained )

When a solution of an acid is diluted , the number of hydronium ions per volume decreases and concentration decreases .
