Displacement:- the shortest distance between initial point to final point is called displacement....

Example:- a car start with point A and go to point B...

Displacement will zero when you start and end at the same spot ....

Answer: take four points A, B, C, D. Now a person standing at A position moves A to B, then B to C and then C to D. He can easily calculate the distance travelled by him.

Now if he moves back from D to C, C to B and B to A, then his displacement will be zero b/c he came back to the point where he started from.
