The fog is said to be full of opposite forces because, on one hand, it is soft but on the other hand, it causes destruction by accidents.
EXPLANATION:
- The poem Fog is written by the poet Carl Sandburg.
- He wrote the poem while he was in Chicago and the town was surrounded by thick fog which inspired the poet to write a poem about it.
- In the poem, the poet compares the fog with the soft paws of kitten because it comes softly, silently and without coming into anyone's notice.
- But, at the same time, it is full of opposite forces because with fog the visibility decreases and it causes various accidents, causes delays in flights, etc.
- So, according to the poet says that it is full of opposite forces.

Yes ,I agree that the poem 'fog' is full of opposite forces. In the poem, fog is conceived to come and go silently like a cat. In contrast to this secretive nature, fog is overpowering. It spreads over the harbour and looks very carefully at the whole cityscape and moves on after some time.
