Ek'=12(3m)v2=3×12mv2=3Ek

So the kinetic energy becomes three times of its initial .

(b) Now when the velocity becomes one fourth then ,kinetic energy becomes ,

Ek"=12m(v4)2=116×12mv2=116Ek

Kinetic energy becomes 1/16 time of its initial .
