Artistic freedom:- This is the most significant point of the story 'the princess September'. The author assumes that extremely creative work can be accomplished only in the state of absolute freedom. As Nightangle is the free bird that travels over the seas, trees, the fields. Birds thus sing very wonderfully. but when, the princess September limits the freedom of this chanting bird, then become very depressed. They are not able to chant accurately and stop eating anything.  Soon Birds turns to be very weak and on one morning, the princess discovers that little bird lying motionlessly at the top of the cage. The princess later became worried and she brings the bird out of the cage. After some time the bird talks to her that she cant chants unless she is independent and if she can't chant she will disappear. From that day the princess conferred her freedom and opens the windowpane every day for the bird where the bird used to come in her bedroom and beautifully sings the song for her.
