How is the magnetic field inside a given solenoid made strong ?

It is done by inserting laminated iron core inside the solenoid

We make magnetic field inside a given solenoid made strong by inserting a laminated iron core in it and by this there is  a increase in strength of electromagnet of solenoid or we can say that it make magnetic field more intense .
