In EEG the electrodes are placedon the scalp. MEG is performed using a dewar that contains multiple sensor coils, which do not touch the patient's head. MEG primarily detects the magneticfields induced by intracellular currents, whereas scalp EEG is sensitive to electrical fields generated by extracellular currents.

The sensitive axis of the magnetometer is defined by application of a modulated magnetic field of amplitude 250 nT and 1 kHz frequency perpendicular to the optical axis of the magnetometer. Lock-in amplifications is then used to demodulate the magnetometer signal to determine the magnetic field. Please mark as brainlist
