1 . Pollination is the transfer if make gamete i.e. anther to the ovary. while fertilisation is the process of fusion of make gamete with the female gamete .

2.Pollination needs a media to take place while there is no media needed in fertilisation.

3.It is of various type i.e. selfpollination and cross pollination while fertilisation is only of one type.

Pollination is the transfer of pollen grains from the anthers (male structures) of a flower to the stigma (female structures) of the same or another flower. The pollen grains get deposited to the sticky tip of the pistil; known as stigma and travels down to the filament in the flower in order to reach the ovules. This transfer of pollen is generally mediated by abiotic or biotic means.  Biotic means include insects and other animals while abiotic means include wind or water.

Fertilization on the other hand, is the actual reproductive process where the sperm nuclei fuse with the ovary to form the zygote. In a simple way, a successful pollination leads to fertilization.
