The density bottle is a glass bottle with a ground glass stopper at its neck.It  has a fine hole in it.When the density bottle is completely filled up with a liquid and the stopper is inserted,the excess liquid flows out through this hole.Now the density bottle is filled with a definite volume of liquid.To the determine the density of the liquid,we first weigh the density bottle.Then we fill it with water and weigh it.Finally we fill it with the given liquid and weigh it.
