Hello Mate!
Generally in our society we blame mother for gender of baby but scientifically father is responsible for the sex of baby.
How?
Father and mother have 23 pairs of chromosome out of which 1 pair is of sex chromosomes ( Remember : Rest 22 pairs are autosomes )
In this 1 pair of chromosomes, father has XY chromosome and mother has XX chromosome.
If father's X fuses with any of mother's X then a baby girl is formed.
If father's Y fuses with any of the mother's X then a baby boy is formed.
Hope it helps☺!
