How is the small intestine designed to absorb digested food, explain.

Small intestine has small finger like projections called villi(this increases the surface area for the absorption of food materials),which is highly supplied with blood vessels food pass through small intestine,these villi absorb it and through blood vessels it is distributed to al parts of the body.

The inner surface of our small intestine had millions of finger like structure called micro villi which helps in absorption of food quickly by increasing the surface area.
