Small intestine has small finger like structures on its surface called the Villus(plural - Villi). These villus increase the area of absorption. They have small hair like substance on their surface-the Microvilli.
Villus absorbs minerals from food and mixes them in the blood.
Inside the villi there is network of blood vessels and a lymph vessel k own as the Lacteal.
Villi is made up Epithelial cells.
