Answer:

Explanation:

✔✔No of electron increases when no of shells increases

✔✔The things which u were talking about I think it's any chemical name when we multiply the no by 2 than resultant would be 12×2=24

Hope you like my ans

Nice question!!

First We know about types of bonding in chemical compounds:-

1)Ionic Bond:- In this type of bond the metal losses it's electron and non - metal gains electron so that they complete their octet.

Ex:- NaCl,KCl etc.

2)Covalent Bond:- In this type of bond the mutual sharing of electrons pair ocur is called covalent bond.

Ex:- CO2,O2 etc.

3)Co-Ordinate bond:- In this bonding their is no mutual sharing of electrons between the atoms is called Co-Ordinate bond.

Ex:- O3,NO2,etc.

Since,NO2 is compound therefore it's Lewis dot structure is :-

N:-7e-

O:-8e-

O:-8e-

Total no.of electrons in NO2=23e-

But it has overall one negative charge (e-) so it is also added

therefore,23e- + 1e- = 24e-

hence NO2 has 24e-...
