Both Thrust and Pressure are directly proportional to each other and derived the formula pressure is obtain by perpendicular force and area. They are practically same and thrust is defined as force acting perpendicular each other and divided by the unit area while pressure is applying by force

Pressure is per unit thrust on a surface, hence pressure is directly proportional to thrust. Greater the thrust, greater is the pressure and smaller the thrust, smaller is the pressure
