How is transportation of H2O in xylem tissue different from translocation of food in phloem tissue?​

Transportation of food and water takes place through xylem and phloem in the plants.

The water from the roots is transported through xylem. Phloem on other hand transports the food prepared in the leaves to other parts of the plants.

This is the major form of transportation and translocation.
