ultrasonic waves are used to detect flaws, the object is placed . On one side there is ultrasonic waves are produced and one the other side there is a receiver when ultrasonic waves are passes through the object, when all the waves passes completely it means there is no flaws present over there when some of the waves gets reflected back it means there is some flaws present, due to echolocation method they identify the flaws present
