how is UPS different from inverter so for as a switch over time is a concerned

The main difference between the inverter and the UPS lies in the fact, that in an inverter, the power is directly sent to the output which is connected by wiring to various appliances. At the same time the AC is also converted to DC and this DC is constantly charging the battery.
