Virus are non-living things, they only have a protein coat surrounded by the genetic material, when viruses find a host cell they replicate, making us feel sick, Vaccines are made by taking viruses or bacteria and weakening them so that they can't reproduce (or replicate) themselves very well or so that they can't replicate at all inside the host cell, the body then gets more immunity against that particular virus (for example COVID-19) when we take the vaccine the body makes antibodies and makes the body more immune from COVID-19..
