How is visualizing a text similar to or different from watching television or movies? For example, how is reading and visualizing Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone different from watching the movie version?

In my opinion:
When we read the books, we're allowed to imagine the places in the books in our own way, but when we watch the movies, there isn't any imagination involved.
Another thing is that books show us what the protagnist is feeling, especially when it is spoken in third person. We feel as though we are with the characters of the story unlike in movies.
On the other hand, movies can be watched quickly with ease in a matter of a few hours. But books are still preferred due to these reasons.
