How is water transported to the soil

Like tracheids, a chain like tube is also present which is called xylem tissue . This tissue is also present in the plant. When roots take water and minerals from soil then xylem tissue take water and minerals from roots . Then water and minerals are transported to whole parts of plant. So, xylem tissue is responsible for transporting of water and minerals in plants
