An uneven heating of the Earth's surface causes winds. On being heated, air becomes lighter and rises up. As a result, a region of low pressure is created. Then, air from a high pressure region moves to a low pressure region, causing wind.

How is wind produced?
When we hear the word wind the thing that comes comes first in our mind is movement of air in the atmosphere.
In simple words wind is produced by the oceans due to Tides and ocean currents and is transported to the land by the movement of air.
