zygote is formed by the fusion of male and female gametes . The zygote divides repeatedly to form an embryo. which gets embedded in the uterus of the mother . The further development takes place in the uterus . an developed embryo is known as foetus. The foetus gets nutrition through the umbilical cord . The birth of young one takes place after nine months . The child is born through the rythmic contraction and relaxation of uterus .
