afforestaton means planting of tress so during photosynthesis plants inhale carbon dioxide nd releases oxygen so it means it is air conservation . also the root of trees hold down water nd soil so it leads to less soil erosion . hence afforestation leads to conservation of air , water nd soil

afforestation is the process of lanting trees.....
when the trees grow they bind up the soil and also the water that flows is obstructed by the tree stem and the water percolated down which raises the ground water level and conserves water.
also the trees when grow big the leaves provide the water to flow slowly obstructing the speedy fall of water thus the water comes down slowly and percolates down and in this way water is conserved.
