sum of known 5 numbers=6+8+5+10+28=57

let each unknown number be k.

then, sum of unknown 3 numbers=k+k+k=3k

mean=sum of all observations÷no. of observations

or,        12=(57+3k)÷8

or, 57+3k=96

or,       3k=96-57=39

or,         k=39÷3=13

            k=13

Also,

sum of all the numbers=57+(3×13)=57+39=96

Total observation = 8

Sum of Total observation = 8 × 12 = 96

Given Observation are 6, 8, 5, 10 and 28

The remaining observation are k, k and k,

mean = (5 + 6 + 8 + 10 + 28 + k + k + k)/8

12 = (57 + 3k)/8

12 × 8 = 57 + 3k

96 = 57 + 3k

96 - 57 = 3k

39/3 = k

k = 13

Sum of 8 numbers = 5 + 6 + 8 + 10 + 13 + 13 + 13 + 28 = 96.
