Hi . There is no formula to do it.
,its an simple calculation .
see how it's works.
We know that there are 8 square box's in chess .
As we got it that length of one box is 2.5 cm
So,.
Length of 8 box's will be 2.5×8= 20cm.
Now,.
There are borders..
The length of left border is 2cm and length of right border is also 2cm
.
Adding all,
We get,
Total length of chess board= 20 +2 +2= 24cm
