How it is possible to reduce tje use of grid connected electricity by using solar and wind energy?

As all are aware electricity can be generated by solar or wind.  

To reduce the use of grid connected electricity you need to install Grid-connected Solar Plant of higher capacity of our usage.  In day time you tap the solar power and use it to run your appliances and excess power generated will be fed to the grid by using net metering system.  

In night time you use the grid power.  Hence you are using some electricity generated from Solar in day time and also you export the power to the grid, you grid electricity consumption will automatically drop down to half of your regular consumption.
