Both Buddhism and Jainism became popular among the people, especially traders and craftsmen. This was because of three reasons:
1. They were easy to practise.
2. Buddha and Mahavira preached in the language commonly spoken by the people. Their teachings were thus easily understood.
3. Both did not believe in the caste system. People from the lower castes were attracted by the idea of social equality.

Because they both are peaceful religion who teaches one to live the life peacefully and loving each and every creature….
They do not teach any violence & do not force or bind followers of religion to do anything unwillingly or forcefully…
These religion tells people what is right or wrong for themselves or others and spread positivity ….
You see one killing the cow and one giving food to cow with his hand your inner voice will be sad while seing killing and will spread negativity and if you give food to cow with your hand your innervoice will be veryhappy and you will have positivity….
