As we know theres an astroid belt between the orbits of mars and Jupiter. The asteroid collide with each other deviating from their respective orbits. In such a scenario a asteroid could easily move towards on a trajectory to hit Earth. In such situations Jupiter’s strong gravitational pull attracts the asteroid towards Jupiter. Thus we can say existence of Jupiter is very important to Earth and the life on it.
If there was no Jupiter there would be a lot of asteroids hitting earth on daily basis. If that would happen life on earth would become practically impossible.
