1) The cool air from the freezer is heavier and flows downwards to cool the lower part of the refrigerator.The warm air rises upwards and gets cooled as it reaches the freezer.In this way circulation of warm air and cool air takes place in the refrigerator.

2) The air trapped in the spaces of the jute fibres do not allow the warm air from outside to enter into the jute bag.This prevents the contact of the ice with the warm air and thus prevents melting of ice....hope helpsss....
